The Talking Heads and Brian Eno are another huge influence on how we do things in Kicksville. They were always experimenting, had a serious disregard for convention, and a deep connection to visual and performance art (and Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies has helped us out of a creative corner more than once). This song really embodies our absurdist/zen/non-linear point of view, and it has become the closing song of our live show.
The Music
It was a blast to record, and we think it shows in the energy of the finished track. We left most of the between-take silliness in the final mix - there are tons of subliminal bits all through the song. It's also a very dense arrangement, so we definitely suggest listening to this one with headphones to catch all the hidden goodies!
