About Hot Alien Orgy
One day while sitting around in the studio without much to do, the Commissioner and the Mayor decided an experiment was in order: They decided to work on a soundtrack for a scene in a "movie," which of course had to be an alien car chase (with guns). They started a cool synth/drum groove and some alien space ship sounds, but as it often happens in Kicksville, they got distracted with something else and put this bit on the back burner to be fucked with later. A few months later, Aya Peard heard the half-finished piece during a writing session at the studio and asked if she could take a copy back home with her to work on melody and lyrics. That she did, and the song changed from an alien car chase (with guns) to a hot alien orgy! Aya's lyrics are very carefully crafted and actually sort of romantic in a warped "let's have an orgy with hot aliens on sweet Venus" kind of way.
The Music
Once the rough mix came back from Aya, the original loops were rearranged to support the new melody and lyrics. Enter The Jazzman.... The Jazzman was a little inebriated one night while at the studio and played some acid-jazzy chord changes over the original drum and synth part. At the time, he thought his parts were slammin', but he was a little too fucked up to actually make the idea work. So, what did the Kicksville production staff do about it? That's right - they put a mic in front of The Jazzman and let him spew his thoughts…Only in Kicksville does this shit happen! [Editor's note: ...umm, actually, The Jazzman insisted we set up the mic - we had no idea where he was going to go with it. So, you can imagine our surprise at what came out....] Eventually, Lou and Conrad came up with a great drum and bass groove, Beaker broke out his E-bow, and city council member Amir Alam played some very nice swelly, delay-soaked guitar to replace The Jazzman's would-be acid jazz chords. And of course, The Jazzman's out-takes made it to the master, bringing the song up to full orgy status (or should we say cluster-fuck status?).
lyrics
I have already traveled to the end of Earth
with you
And I will travel again to the end of Earth
with you
And we when we finally get to the end of Earth
we will
Take a pocket of E to the Moon and see what's left
Mind
makes time
And mine
is a little far-out today
Mind
makes time
And mine
is a little far-out today
When we have fondled each other enough
all 'round the Moon
You will spank me for being so bad
on Mars' red sands
When we have had enough of being mean
and serious
We'll have an orgy with hot aliens on sweet Venus
Mind [let's have an orgy]
makes time
And mine [let's have an orgy with hot aliens]
is a little far-out today
Mind [let's have an orgy]
makes time
And mine [let's have an orgy with hot aliens]
is a little fucked-up today
